Description

Color: Black; Red; White A brochure advertising Gay's Lion Farm in El Monte, California, ca. 1920s. The covers have a black background with the farm name at the top, an image of a lion's head below the center, and the location at the bottom. At the bottom margin of the back cover is the name of the printing company, C. S. Hutson & Co. When fully opened there are three panels on one side and a fourth on the reverse along with the front and back cover. The inner panels have ten photographs of the farm, lions, the owners, and a film shoot at the farm. Text describes the farm and its use supplying animals for the film industry. At the bottom center in red letters is the phrase "THE ONLY LION FARM IN THE WORLD." With creases, dented cover corners, light soiling, slight yellowing, and small stains on the back, the overall condition is good.
