Description

Color: Black; White A genealogical table of the Temple family by John H. Temple, ca. 1918. Written on plain lined paper in pencil, the document has the genealogy of the family beginning with Jonathan Temple and his wives Lydia Pratt and Lucinda Parker on the first page, including the names of Jonathan Temple, Jr. and Pliny Fisk (F. P. F.) Temple. Names, birth dates, and spouses are included. It is notable that Jonathan Temple, Jr.'s birthdate is first written as August 14, 1794 and then changed to 1795, although it is commonly noted as 1796. Likewise, Pliny Temple's birthdate was changed from February 12 to the 13th. On the reverse is the family listing of F. P. F. and Antonia Margarita Workman, including their marriage date, and the names and birth dates of the children, except for the seventh child, Lucinda (Lucy), who was born September 13, 1860, and the eighth child, Agnes, whose name is written out of order between the third and fourth children, William and the first David H, and who was born June 5, 1863. At the bottom right of the reverse are some figures written in ink and unrelated to the genealogical information. With horizontal third folds, many creases, edge tears, pest damage, and some stains, the condition is fair.
