Color: White
A General Electric G-E friction tape box, ca. 1920s. The cardboard box has a bordered area on the top with the title of the item that was housed inside; two General Electric logos; an image of a building with caption "The Result of Research" the width, size, and weight of the item; patent number; and the company name--all in green lettering. One of the flaps reads "G-E FRICTION TAPE", also in green letters. The box was found in the attic of La Casa Nueva in May 1998 and, because of its exposure to the elements, it is in extremely fragile condition with pieces separating to the touch--there are now four pieces. There are many tears; creases, folds, stains; overall surface soiling; heavy discoloration; and many holes on the back, so the piece is in poor condition.
