GERMAIN FRUIT CO., CALIFORNIA WINE DEPT., WINE BOTTLE, ca. 1890s. The green-colored glass bottle has a purple/red label at the top end of the neck with the company name, department, company logo, and location of Los Angeles stamped on it. There is a cork in the bottle's mouth. At the center of one side of the body is what appears to be a homemade label reading "Old Wine / Made by H. M." in handwriting. There are no other identifying features to the bottle, the date of which is estimated from the style of the logo. The item is in good condition considering its age, damage and wear mainly being to the labels, particularly the handwritten one.
