Color: Brown
A glazed encaustic tile called the Canterbury created by Karen J. Patterson, 1998. The piece is symmetrical from all corners and features a design in a light brown glaze consisting of a circle with fleur-de-lis at the four corners on the outside and in three-prong aspects on the inside of the circle. These prongs then meet at the center to form a diamond shape with a hole in the center. On the back of the tile is smearing from the firing process. In the upper right corner of the back is a stamp reading, "KJ PATTERSON / CERAMICS." The tile, sold by Country Floors, Inc., was manufactured in a weathered finish and is in good condition.
