A photograph of a gothic style church in Boston during the winter of 1928. There appears to be piles of snow in front of the church. The church has a steeple which looks to be made of red brick with a cross at the top of the spire. Behind the steeple are four electrical wires. Other architectural features include a stain glass window above the church entrance, arched windows flanking the sides of the church and above are four in view (maybe six in total) arched windows with wooden blinds surround the belfry or the bell tower. The foreground shows trees, a person walking by in front of the church as well as a partial view of a building to the left. This photo was most likely taken by Thomas Workman Temple III (1905-1972) who attended Harvard University during the late 1920s. The younger Temple boys also attended schools within and near the area. The photograph has moderate yellowing throughout. The bottom right edge has a tear. The reverse side has two faded brown markings, on the bottom left corner is a stamp with the number 15. The photo is in fair condition.Lexicon
