"Grading Walnuts in California" postcard, published by Newman Post Card Co., Los Angeles, postmarked January 15, 1909. The front has a colorized photograph of workers in a walnut orchard with sacks of walnuts piled at the center, drying trays in the background left, and a sorter and grader at the background right. In the distance are rows of trees. On the reverse is a faded ink-written message and an address. At the upper right is the postmark and a one-cent stamp. At the left is the item number and publisher's information. With corner and edge rubbing, light corners creases and soiling, and small stains at the two bottom corners of the front and handling on the back, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
