Description

"Grape arbor, Los Angeles, Cal., U.S.A.," published by J.F. Jarvis and sold by Underwood and Underwood, ca. 1890s. The image shows a massive arbor topped by grape vines and about a dozen persons standing under it. Through the trellis are signs, with one referring to Main and Commercial streets in downtown, so it assumed the arbor was in that area. With soiling, especially on the matte, which also has creases, dented corners and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
