Color: Gold; Green
A green ceramic ashtray manufactured by Hall's China, ca. 1920s. The center is raised and has oval-shaped openings at the sides and another opening at the top for the placement of matchbooks. Gold paint lines the edges of the oval and top openings. On either side of the matchbook holder are the initials "RH" within a shield all in gold. The initials may have stood for the Raddison Hotel as guessed by the seller. The bottom portion of the artifact is rectangular with the edges slightly raised and the corners curved. These edges are also painted gold. On one side of the bottom is a gold circular stamp with the words, "HALL'S CHINA." With only light abrasions around the bottom edge and some fading of the gold, the object is in good condition overall.
