A photograph of persons gathered near the church at Mission Carmel, 1926. The photographer stood nat a distance from the church, part of which is at the right, including the ornate entrance and one of the domes flanking the gabled roof, atop which is a cross. A one-story two-gabled adobe is attached to the church, as well. Several cars are parked around the foreground and persons are milling about. Adobe ruins are at the left and there is some landscaping. On the reverse center is a stamp reading "WEBBS / MAY 5 1926 / SAN JOSE" and the stamped number "37" is at thei lower right corner. A vertical tear along the left side was repaired on the back with tape and there are some creases, light discoloration, and minor soiling, so the artifact is in fair condition.
