Description
GROUP OF REPLICATED WOOD ELEMENTS FOR LA CASA NUEVA AND EXTERIOR AREAS
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of replicated wood carvings for La Casa Nueva and exterior areas, ca. February 1979. The items are on a wood work table resting against the east, white tiled wall of the house's kitchen. On the top shelf of the back part of the table are a series of small square carvings of animal and human figures, in various stages of finishing and painting. These were created for the reproduced doors to the balcony at the north side of the Master Bedroom. At upper right are three other items, carved almost in relief and their placement is not known. Below this are rows of chisels housed in the table's backing. Reclining in front of some of these chisels on the table top are five finials, used on the wooden gates throughout the site. These are completed, but not painted. Also on the table top are pieces of wood, files, and other items. In good condition, the artifact has little indication of wear or damage.
