"Guaranteed Pure Paints for Interior or Exterior," issued by B. Frank Shinn Co., Inc., ca. 1920s. The brochure is of white paper with the title at the top of the green front cover. Below the title are the words, "Ready to Use." At the center is a line-drawing of a two-story home with a path across the front on which a man and woman walk. At the bottom is the name and address of the manufacturer, and all of the printing is in black ink. On the back are claims and guarantees of the product's quality and durability. Inside are directions for surface preparation, paint application, and indications of the amount of paint needed for certain jobs. Twenty-four color paint samples are also provided and include such colors as battleship gray, Spanish brown, snuff brown, Napoleon green, and more. With abrasions; creases; darkening of the paper; heavy soiling; acid burns; and tears, the object is in poor condition.Lexicon
