"Guide to the Exhibit of Fossil Animals from Rancho La Brea," Miscellaneous Publications No. 1, Department of Natural Sciences, Los Angeles County Museum of History, Science and Art, April 1915. There is a letter from the director in charge of La Brea tar pit excavations to the museum's Board of Governors, an introduction to the collection, a description of the area and the project to extract speciments from the pit. There are descriptions and photographs of the specimens. At the back is a bibliography and on the inside front cover is a list of museum governors, staff, and the county Board of Supervisors. With a vertical fold, dogeared corners, edge rubbing but clean pages, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
