Description

HALF OF REPLICATED DOOR, EAST LIVING ROOM ENTRANCE, LA CASA NUEVA Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of one-half of the replicated door on the east side of the La Casa Nueva Living Room, 20 March 1979. The frame, without wood carved panels or the leaded glass window at the top, lies on a plywood topped table. Small C-clamps and longer metal clamps are attached to the piece, which is still unpainted bare wood. A hammer, chisel and other tools are on or under the table, which appears to be in the Dining Room. At the bottom of the artifact is an inscription in pencil reading "East Parlor Door - Being prepared / for carving insets - and leaded / glass 3/20/79." With no indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
