Description

Two (2) handpainted broadsides for Fiesta Española, Los Angeles, 3 February 1928. The two were cut from adjacent pieces of illustration board with one having markings as if a draft and slightly different coloration and design elements that the second piece, which seems more of a finished work. Each has a scene of two persons in Mexican costume dancing and the event title at the top and date at the bottom. On the reverse of what is presumed to be the draft is a Los Angeles address and the event date. The draft has more soiling and is missing portions of the top right including the title, while the final has soiling, edge rubbing and a creased corner, so that the former is in poor and the latter in fair condition.
