"HARPER'S NEW MONTHLY MAGAZINE," BOUND VOLUME 50, DECEMBER 1874-MAY 1875. (New York: Harper & Brothers Publisher, 1875) The 928 paged volume has a leather spine with corner trim. On the spine is gilt lettering for "Harper's Magazine," and "Vol. 50." Included in the magazine are numerous articles under the heading "Mechanical Progress." The magazine contains travelogues, poetry, fiction, biographies, and other material on American and foreign subjects.
