Color: Black; White
"Harper's New Monthly Magazine," January 1872. The issue, which was disbound, is notable for several Christmas-related items, including stories, poetry, and an image of Santa Claus on the first page. In addition to this image and accompanying poem, there is a Christmas story on page 231, another on page 273, and reviews of books noted as suitable for Christmas presents at the back. There are also articles relating to the Netherlands, the West Indies, Greenland, the Alaska purchase, and fictional tales and poetry of a general nature. There are lithographs and drawings as illustrations. Other than the disbinding, there are some adhesive residue marks where the binding was removed; browning; fingerprints and some small stains; and tears at the bottom of the last page, so the item is in fair condition.Lexicon
