Included in the contents is an article from pages 45-65 about southern California by William Henry Bishop, which includes material on orange groves, Pio Pico, wine at San Gabriel, and the Chinese and Mexicans. The magazine contains the usual array of travelogues, poetry, fiction, biographies, and other material on American and foreign subjects. With edge, corner, and spine rubbing, soiling, especially on page edges, slight page browning, fading on the spine and cover, flaking of cover corners, losses to the marbleized paper at the top right of the front, moisture damage, mustiness, some page edge and handling stains, and tears at the cover corners, the overall condition is good.
