Description

Color: Red; Gold "Harvard Law Quinquennial, 1817-1929," edited by Guy H. Holliday (Cambridge: Harvard Law School,) 1930. The 388-page work, printed by Rumford Press of Concord, New Hampshire, has a hardcover consisting of a burgundy color cover with the Harvard logo at the center of the front in gold. On the spine is the title. After a preface by the editor is the table of contents, which includes a list of officers, that is, those who taught at the school, and lists of students who attended the school during the period covered in chronological, geographical, and alphabetical formats. A summary is on the same page as the contents, delimiting the number of past members, including graduates and non-graduates of the law school and from Harvard and other colleges; those known to be dead; those known or believed to be living; and those unaccounted for. William W. and Thomas W. Temple II are listed on pages 116, 242, and 341 of the book. With edge and corner abrasions and dents on the cover; faded lettering on the spine; and foxing and light discoloration on pages, the artifact is in good condition.
