Description

Color: Black; White A reproduction photograph of buildings of the Harvard Law School on the campus of Harvard University, Cambrdige, Mass., ca. 1920s. The view seems to be from the roof of a nearby building and shows a very long and narrow classical building with large Greek-style columns and other features of classic structures. From the appearance of the foreground at the right, there may have been construction taking place on the site. Also in the foreground is a large common area with trees denued of foliage, suggesting a winter date for the image. A few walks are also noted. In the background are portions of older structures with gabled roofs and the top of a campanile-like tower. The buildings pictured appear to be Langdell Hall at the school, which was attended by William W. Temple (1872-74) and his nephew, Thomas W. II. (1926-29.) As a newly produced image, the condition is mint. Number-Units: 1
