"Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," 1880. The photo shows a man, identified as Sherrill Richardson, dressed in a top hat and suit, at a telephone mounted on a wall, perhaps in a studio. At the left, badly faded, is the message. At the bottom is Richardson's name, while on the reverse is the note that he was brother to Charles A. Richardson and the dating of Christmas 1880. There is also a preprinted image of a Domestic brand treadle sewing machine. With heavy soiling, stains, edge rubbing and fading, as well as surface losses to the top corners, the overall condition is poor.
