A Haviland Limoges sugar bowl with lid in Paisley pattern, ca. 1893-1930. The bowl has a gold-band edge and gold painted handles and a floral pattern on the upper edge of the outside of the bowl, consisting of six floral groupings joined by a floral chain and vines with flowers. The colors in this patterning are blue, red, and yellow primarily. At the right center of the bottom is the maker's mark with "Haviland / France" in green on top and "PAISLEY / DECORATED BY / Haviland & Co. / Limoges" in red on the bottom. The lid has a gold painted handle at the center and four floral groupings with the connecting floral chain on the outer edge. On the underside of the lid is the maker's mark reading "PAISLEY / DECORATED BY / Haviland & Co. / Limoges." In good condition, the item has bottom edge abrasions, evidence of price label adhesive on the inside, light grime on the bottom and under the handle, and some fading of the gold on the handles of both parts.
