Cancelled promissory note from Isaias W. Hellman or Samuel Hellman, 4 May 1868. The note is a standard printed form with the amount, location, date, time for repayment, name of the loaning agent (which is either I. Hellman or S. Hellman), and interest. As is typical for cancelled notes, the signature of the borrower is torn away. With that loss, as well as stains, foxing, many creases and other tears and wear, the condition is fair.
