Description
BOOKS, "HISTORY OF THE WAR BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND MEXICO," John S. Jenkins (2nd ed., Auburn: Derby and Miller,) 1851 [1848]. The work includes a supplemental section on the discovery of gold in California, which occurred as the first edition was in process. There are many lithographic illustrations, as well. The cover has some heavy abrasions particularly at the spine, edges, and corners and there is some foxing on pages, but the binding is tight and the overall condition is fair to good.
