A postcard, "Hollenbeck Home, Los Angeles, Cal.," published by Detroit Photographic Company, 1899. The colored photograph shows the front facade of the Mission Revival-style structure that was the home of financier and developer John E. Hollenbeck and his wife, Elizabeth. After John Hollenbeck's 1885 death, his widow endowed a home for the aged and left the building for the institution. The card is postally unused and in good overall condition.
