PHOTOGRAPH, HOLLYWOODLAND TRACT SITE, 1923. The view, taken from a nearby hill shows a largely undeveloped canyon containing a few small structures, a wood-framed building (perhaps the tract sales office) under construction, a billboard, some parked cars, some machinery, including one at the far left that seems to be grading, and some trees. Ringing the canyon are portions of the Santa Monica Mountains, completely undeveloped and covered in trails and scrub. A caption in white at the lower right corner reads "HOLLYWOODLAND 1923." At the top left corner is an inscribed "#7." There are a few inscriptions on the reverse that appear to be recent. Aside from light discoloration ans dented corners, the condition is good.Lexicon
