HOMESTEAD POOL AND WORKMAN HOUSE AND LA CASA NUEVA
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the swimming pool at the Workman Homestead with the Workman House and La Casa Nueva in the background, ca. 1928. The northwest corner of the pool is in the foreground, drained of its contents. At the lower right corner is a slide and access ladder, while toward the left of center is a set of six dressing rooms. A set of concrete stairs leads up from the bottom of the pool in the northwest corner. At center and right is the Workman House with much of the upper portion of the home visible. At left, behind the pool dressing rooms, is the upper section of La Casa Nueva, including the roof, chimney tops, and parts of the second floor wing patios. Some landscaping is visible, though not in detail. On the reverse, the word "VELOX" is stamped onto the paper, while the number "56" is stamped at the lower right corner. Other than very light discoloration and some surface soiling on the image, the artifact is in good condition.
