Description

HOMESTEAD SITE VIEW FROM SOUTHWEST OF LA CASA NUEVA, CA. 1924 Color: Black; White A negative of the Homestead site southwest of La Casa Nueva, ca. 1924, showing the adobe making site with a large wall of stacked bricks, small piles of bricks, and what appears to be a kiln at upper left center. Also shown are walnut trees at center and what seems to be corn fields towards the top of the photograph. The road to Turnbull Canyon road is visible at the bottom of the image. The surrounding area is seen in the background. With little indication of wear or damage, although the image appears to be dark and there are non-intrusive areas of darkening on the edges, the condition is good. Number-Units: 1
