Description

The house and garden of Dr. R. Schiffman, South Grand Avenue, Pasadena, ca. 1920s. The view shows an expansive formal garden with walks, planter beds with new plantings, a rectangular shallow pond and fountain, a Neoclassical arbor and, closer to the home, a curved driveway, wide lawns and more mature trees. Much of the front facade of the Colonial Revival home is visible beyond the landscaping. There is a pencil inscription on the reverse identifying the owner and location. With the lower left corner missing, soiling and a few stains, the overall condition is fair.
