The first page has important information about residence inventories. What follows is a ledger style series of pages delineating by room with columns for number, article (many of which are preprinted), description, cost, and the month, day, and year of purchase. Aside from rooms, there are pages dedicated to books; bric-a-brac, glassware and china; jewelry and silverware; pictures; linen and clothing; closets, chests, etc.; and a resume of the above and of rooms with grand totals. The last page provides for listing insurance policies on dwellings, their contents, barns and garages, the contents of the latter, and total insurance with columns for amounts and the dates of expiration. The inside back cover has an ad for the publisher's safe deposit vaults and their rental. With creases, surface soiling, especially on the back, browning, notably on the cover, and staple tarnish, the overall condition is good.
