The hardcover book has a brown binding on the spine and on the front cover is an illustration of a formal dinner table and the company logo consisting of a drawing of a young girl in a cart being pulled by a mule with "Derryvale Genuine Irish Linen" printed underneath. A larger version of the logo drawing is on the back cover with the caption, "Typical scene in the Irish linen country." The background of the cover illustrations and the highlights and headers in the text are in pale green ink. There is staining and discoloration on the front and back covers.
