A real photo postcard, "Hoxey and Brookins Racing 22," Los Angeles, 27 December 1910. The image looks to be from an air derby held at Dominguez Field on 27 December and featured Walter Brookins and Archibald Hoxsey among seven aviators competing, though it is not known which craft was used by which pilot. Four days later, Hoxsey was killed at the field after attempting an altitude record. The unused card has edge bumping, light browning and minor soiling and is in good condition.
