"Hunt's Merchants' Magazine and Commercial Review," Vol. 19, No. 5 (Novmeber 1848), published by Freeman Hunt. The item, which may be incomplete, includes tables of trade and commerce in New Orleans during the years 1844-47 and two articles. One is on Asa Whitney's proposed railroad to the Pacific and the other on commercial possibilities in California, recently annexed by the United States. There are also some advertisements on the brown wrappers, which are detached from the existing pages. With this condition, as well as creases, edge rubbing, small tears, and soiling, the item is in poor condition.Lexicon
