Description
A bound volume of "Hunt's Merchants' Magazine and Commercial Review," Volume 32 (January to June), published by Freeman Hunt, New York, 1855. Among the contents is a short article about a 161-pound gold nugget located at Calaveras County, California; a three-page piece with tables of data on gold production in California from 1851 to 1854; adjoining articles on wheat growing and cattle raising, with statistics by county, from California; and a table of shipments of California gold in 1853 and 1854 by port of entry internationally. With a split hinge, much rubbing and some soiling to the boards and damp stained pages, the condition is fair.
