Description

Color: Black; Blue; White "I Loved You Then As I Love You Now," lyric by Ballard Macdonald and music by Axt and Mendoza, published by Irving Berlin, Inc., 1928. The cover has a black and white border with a repeating triangular pattern, somewhat Art Deco in style. At the top, within the border, is the title in black letters. At the bottom right are the names of the composers. At the bottom left is the notation that the song is the theme of the motion picture "Our Dancing Daughters." The star of that film, Joan Crawford, is in an oval-bordered photograph at the center. The publisher's name and address is at the bottom center. Flanking it are notations that the piece is arranged for ukulele and a faded stamp of the music store that sold the sheet. The piece has a tuning scale for ukulele or the ukulele banjo with a score for piano and a tempo of valse moderato. On the back is a sample of an Irving Berlin song. With cover creases, corner dents, minor soiling, some tears at the back right and the spine, and page discoloration, the object is in fair condition.
