Description

An identity card for Charles O. Brown from the Los Angeles Police Department, 27 February or 3 'March 1908. On one side is information about Brown's occupation, "descent," crime, sentence, arresting officer and others. There is also space for a description of physical marks, scars, and moles, though this is empty. On the reverse is much information about Brown's build, hair and eye color, and the like, as well as a profile photograph of him and the initials of the photographer and date. It is also noted that Brown was a reoffender, having served time at San Quentin and Folsom, and noting his 15-year sentence at Folsom for this crime of a hold-up for $12.00. With curving of the paper, soiling, edge rubbing, ink marks, and other wear, the overall condition is fair.
