Description

Color: Blue; Red; White Sheet music, "If I Had You," written by Ted Shapiro, Jimmy Campbell, and Reg Connelly and published by Robbins Music Coporation, New York, by arrangement with Campbell, Connelly & Company, London, 1928. On the cover is the title at the top in red letters, above which is "The Prince of Wales' Favorite Fox Trot." Below and to the left of the title are the names of the composers. An Art Deco-style image of a woman with red hair in a star and cloud filled night scene and a man sitting and gazing up at the woman takes up most of the cover. At the bottom are the names of the American and British publishing houses. The transcription for the song, which is in moderato tempo, includes a ukulele tuning at the lower right of page three. On the inside front cover is a sample for another Robbins song. At the bottom of page five is an advertisement for a Robbins music folio. The back cover advertises another two Robbins songs, both from a Broadway show. With light creases and surface soiling, some page browning, small folds at the bottom right corner, light stains, and some small spine and top right corner tears, the object is in good overall condition.
