Description

"In Our Own Orange Grove," lyrics by Ballard MacDonald and music by Harry Carroll and Arthur Freed, published by Sherman, Clay and Company, San Francisco, 1924. The cover shows a flapper-like woman dancing on a stage. There is reference to the play "Pickings", produced at The Orange Grove Theatre, 730 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, from which the song appeared. Other song titles from the production are listed at the lower left. The score, in moderato tempo, covers three pages and the inside front cover and rear cover have samples of other scores from the publisher. Aside from light edge rubbing, there is no discernible wear and the condition good.
