An ink blotter from Los Angeles Railway Corporation, ca. 1915. The image is of a young boy hanging on the edge of a streetcar while an oncoming car approaches. At the right is a message called "His Last Free Ride" about the young man's unfortunate decision to grab a ride while the car was in motion which led to the other car having "got him." At the bottom is the motto, "Safety First" and the company name. The reverse, colored pink, is for the blotting of ink from a pen. With slight edge wear and corner creasing, the condition is good.
