INSIDE OF THE FRONT DOOR OF LA CASA NUEVA FROM THE LIVING ROOM
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the inside of the front door of La Casa Nueva as seen from the living room, ca. 1940. The photographer stood just inside the living room, where much of the south door and a small portion of the north door are seen as they are pushed wide open. Through this is the front door, which is opened at a 45-degree angle. Among the details of both doors are, for the living room door, part of the handle and part of the family crest carving at the upper left, and, for the main door, the wood carvings at the top and center; the handle and lock case; and the hinge. Part of the main hall door casing and part of the arched wall at the living room entrance, including a wall switch are visible. On the upper right corner of the reverse is the pencil inscription "#17", while at the center is, in pencil, the number "31." With one long crease at the right and some suface soiling, the object is still in good condition.
