Color: Black; White A black and white reproduction photograph of an unknown five-piece jazz band, ca. 1920s. A man stands at the far left with a trumpet at his lips. At the bell of the trumpet is a metal mute. Next to him sits a man at a piano, while another man leans against the instrument playing a clarinet. At the end of the piano, at the right, is a trombone player whose instrument has a mute in the bell. A drummer is at the far right holding his sticks out at the sides. On the center of the bass drum are the words, "JAZZ BAND." All of the musicians wear tuxedos. Two clarinets stand upright at the left of the foreground. Across the background is a paper-lined wall. Two framed paintings and two bills hang on the wall at the far right. Written in pencil at the center of the back is, "53%." The image is in good condition with no signs of damage or wear.
