Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction photograph of John H. Temple in a studio portrait engraving, ca. 1918. Temple is in a upper torso view and wears a dark-colored three-piece suit with white shirt and bow tie. He has two pins on the left lapel of his jacket. The background is completely dark and the lines from the engraving process are most marked on the dark clothing. This image was probably created, in its engraved state, for John S. McGroarty's book "From the Mountains to the Sea," published in 1921. On the reverse top left in black ink by a former museum curator is the inscription "John H. Temple / source - Workman and Temple Homestead / ([the word 'source' is here crossed out] gift of Gabriella [sic] Temple Sutter.)" In good condition, the artifact shows little sign of wear or damage.
