JOHN TEMPLE, RAFAELA COTA DE TEMPLE, AND GREGORIO AJURIA

A black and white reproduction studio photograph of Jonathan Temple, his wife Rafaela Cota de Temple, and their son-in-law Gregorio de Ajuria, ca. 1855. Mrs. Temple sits at the left and wears a dark dress with white lace collar, scarf, and sleeves. Her arms are folded across her lap. De Ajuria stands at the center with a hand on the shoulder of both Mr. and Mrs. Temple and wears a dark three-piece suit and tie with a white shirt. Jonathan Temple sits at the right and wears a suit similar to that of De Ajuria and has his left arm across his lap. Written in blue pencil on the top left corner of the back is, "RALPH & CAROL TEMPLE COLLECTION / MAY 1995 / JOHN TEMPLE - RIGHT / RAFAELA COTA DE TEMPLE - LEFT / GREGORIO AJURIA [sic] - STANDING / CA. 1855." Another print of the image is in the collections and is item 96.7.95.8. Negatives to the images in the accession are .2.1-.10. The artifact is in good condition with no signs of wear or damage.
