Description

Color: Color A reproduced color photograph of Josephine Belt Workman's wedding portrait, January 1870. Mrs. Workman is standing next to what appears to be a chair and wears a white wedding dress with veil and long train. She has what may be flowers at her neckline and on the veil and wears a long chain around her neck. Her right hand rests on the top of the chair. There was an attempt to color the original, including blue coloring on the chair and on the flowers on her veil and at the neckline, as well as a gold or orange coloring on the necklace. Whether the original was faded or as a result of several prior reproductions, the image is largely washed out, so that her left arm and detailing on the dress, for example, are not visible. The reproduced photo is in mint condition. Number-Units: 1
