Description

Color: Green; Gold The case for the Kam-Ra motion picture card game, consisting of an outer case (a) and inner case (b) 1928. Manufactured by the Kam-Ra Card Company of Hollywood, the item consists of an outer case, which has, on the front cover in gold embossing, an image of a film camera on a tripod and the name "Kam-Ra" in script letters superimposed on the camera. At the bottom is the company name and location. On the back is a paper label pasted onto the case with another image of a film camera on a tripod within an oval frame. On the outside are a series of stars within a rectangular border. The colors are yellow and white. At the bottom of the side panels are arched notches for removing the inner case, which contains the game cards. This inner case has no ornamentation and has two arched notches at the top for removing the cards. In fair condition overall, the outer case has much wear from abrasions and rubbing, light soiling and some fading of the gold lettering. The inner case is in better shape with less soiling and rubbing.
