Description

Color: Gold; Green "Keats's Complete Poetical Works and Letters," edited by Horace E. Scudder (Cambridge, Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin & Co., The Riverside Press, 1899), 473 pp. A hardcover book without a dustjacket in green cloth with a gold wreath at the center of the front cover, within which is John Keats's name. A gold border is at the edge of the cover, while on the spine is the title at the top and publisher's name at the bottom. The book, from the Cambridge Edition of the Poets, generally edited by Bliss Perry, is edited by Horace E. Scudder and contains all of the poetry and letters written by Keats during the period from 1813 to 1820. There are two painting illustrations of Keats on the flyleaf and title page and a print of a place called Abbotsford. A biographical sketch, notes and illustrations, a bibliographical list of the poems and indices of first lines, titles and the letters are also included. In good condition, the book has some wear on the cover corners and spine, but has little indication of wear and damage otherwise.
