Knight Templar of the York Rite Commandery Jewel, ca. 1900. The pen plate is black with "LOS ANGELES" in gold and the bottom of the plate has the number nine between two filigree leaves, also in gold. Below this, attached by gold chains is a gold Maltese cross on a white background, on top of this is a circle with the Latin words, "REX REGUM ET DOMINUS DOMINORUM," meaning "King of Kings and Lord of Lords," and in the center is the Cross and Crown, a symbol of the Knights Templar of the York Rite. With writing and tarnishing, the object is in good overall condition.
