"Kodakery," Vol. 15, No. 10, June 1928 issue, 29 pp., published by the Eastman Kodak Company. The front cover has a blue field, within which, at the top, is the title with the subtitle, "A / MAGAZINE FOR AMATEUR / PHOTOGRAPHERS." Below this, in an oval border, is a photograph of a ship sailing on a body of water. The publication date and price (5 cents) is underneath the image and the company name and place of business, designated as "The Kodak City," is at the bottom. On the back cover is an advertisement for "Vanity Kodaks," cameras that came in several colors and were marketed for women. Contents include an article written as if a camera were talking about itself; a piece about lenses and shutter speed; a report of a boy scout on using the camera on a hike; an article on photographing boats on the water in terms of composition; and the new Vanity cameras. There are many photographs in the issue, many concerning outdoor subjects and advertisements for Kodak products. In good condition, the artifact has creases and dents on covers and pages; fading on the front; foxing on pages; and a stain on the spine that wraps onto the front and back covers.Lexicon
