Description
LA CASA NUEVA ARCHED ENTRANCE AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
Color: Black; White
A negative of the arched entrance to La Casa Nueva from the southeast, ca. 1926. Inherent damage to the negative from poor exposure obscures much of the right half of the image. At the left is the entrance and a pile of bricks and the absence of the low concrete walls indicates construction is in progress. Behind the Mission Walkway wall, some of the roof, pillars for the second floor east patio, and chimneys of La Casa Nueva. In the foreground is Evergreen Lane and the center driveway is at the center and right. Aside from the inherent problems, there is some slight damage to the left center edge affecting the image, which does not warrant reproducing into a print. Still, the overall condition is good.
