Description

Color: Black; White A negative of the La Casa Nueva area from a field to the southwest, ca. 1927. The view shows the upper portion of the roof, pillars and eucalyptus beams across the pillars for the second floor patios, and Library chimney of the house, as well as the upper portion of the Tepee, but these are largely obscured by the south end of the Mission Walkway. Also of note are evergreen trees along the lane of the same name in front of the Mission Walkway and two large palms flanking La Casa Nueva. There seem to be a few trees in the foreground, possibly walnuts, but the field is largely bare. Aside from darkened sections on the edges, which do not affect the image, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
